Would you be interested in a list of my top ten favorite places in Paris in each of these categories: see, shop, eat, stay? ❤️💙 This info isn’t in the book. I mean, all these places would be in there—mixed in with all the other places listed (around 200 total). But I’d break it down into a secret list of the best of the best (IMHO) 😘. #parisbydesign #parismaville 📷: @chauntevaughn
The studio of Louise Bourgeois, photographed by @francoishalard. (Swipe right to see some of her work and the artist herself.) #frenchamerican #parisbydesign #louisebourgeois
A few years back, when I first got the idea for #parisbydesign, I knew I wanted my old friend and longtime collaborator @chauntevaughn to be the photographer. When I called her up, I was nervous. But she didn’t hesitate for a second—even when it meant becoming roommates with me, @kirk_sycamore, and our two kids in a two bedroom apartment (😂) while we worked on location Paris. She knew that Paris was a good idea! And I’ll always be grateful to her for it.
On that note, thank you for all of the wonderful comments on my last post and to all those who have pre-ordered the book already! You guys are awesome. ❤️💙❤️💙( Link is in my profile if you haven’t seen yet.) #parisisalwaysagoodidea
The book is here! 🇫🇷 I got my hands on an advance copy and it’s so incredibly exciting to see it in physical form after working on it for so long.😅 To find out more about it and/or pre-order a copy, follow the link in my profile. Thanks! #parisbydesign
Back in college, my friends and I would work on all these creative projects together — a band 🎸, an art show 🎨, decorating our apartment 🏠... stuff like that. (The results varied, lol.) But I didn’t realize how much I loved and missed collaborating in a group until years later when @kirk_sycamore and I started @norrfilm with some friends. We both felt such great energy working together with a bunch of people on a project. It was something we hadn’t felt in that way since college and it was awesome.
NØRR eventually fell by the wayside as each of us got caught up in our own lives and businesses, but Kirk and I have kept on collaborating as much as we can! 💙 🎥This pic is from a shoot we did back in September in Venice Beach for a client. I was the creative director/producer, @kirk_sycamore shot the video, @jessicasphoto took photos, @metacoleman_ styled, @strollergang and her kids modeled. (Aren’t they just gorgeous and radiating joy in this photo?!) We love working on projects like this and are not afraid to admit that there is #powerinnumbers. We’re able to do things together that we could never do alone. #sycamoreco #creativestudio
I’ve loved Ellsworth Kelly’s drawings since I first saw them back in high school or college. They make me want to get back to drawing. I miss it!

We’re not doing stationery anymore, and honestly I’m glad. Stationery was good to us and especially our paper peeps, but it was such a good decision for us to focus on the creative studio side of our business for various reasons (that I won’t get into right now, but take my word for it. 😉). I still want to make art on paper, though. It doesn’t need to be for any specific purpose, like to create a product or something. I just want to do it for fun! And as a quick and direct ways to scratch my creative itch, you know?
I mean, I’m working on creative things at work every day, but they’re mostly big long term projects that take months or years to realize. I love those kind of projects and —honestly—I’m good at them. But it’s time to bring a little more spontaneity back. Time for Stella to get her groove back. 💃🏼 And getting back to drawing—just a few minutes each day—seems like a good place to start.
I guess I’m saying this out loud to help keep myself accountable. We’ll see how it works out, lol. So thanks for listening dudes. You’re the best. Byeeeeeeee! (I’m a little tired/silly at the moment. 😜) xo—E

You won’t regret it.
